Tools & Resources I Use in My Online Business
On this page you will find the tools, resources and products that I use in my online business and law firm. Some of these have been around for years, while others are brand new. I will update this list as I add new tools and remove tools I no longer recommend.
I suggest you bookmark this page and come back periodically to check the list. You can use a tool called VisualPing to automate that process for you.
The first question you may have is whether my businesses use all of these products. No, we don't, but I use an awful lot of them. And those that I don't use currently I may have used in the past or intend to use in the future. Businesses of different sized need different tools.
Your feedback will help me to refine this list over time. If you have any experiences, either positive or negative, with the products listed, please me me know. And feel free to connect with me, to advise of your suggestions, additions, and other input for this list.
Let's do this.

My Most Recommended Tools
If you look at nothing else on this page, here are five items that you absolutely, positively, must know about. I recommend these resources over and over again. I use them because they work, and I'm confident that you'll agree too.
- TextExpander: If you aren’t using a text-replacement tool like TextExpander, you’re wasting hours of your own time each week. Set up abbreviations for simple items like email addresses and phone numbers, all the way to more complex snippets like email responses and PDF or website form fills. Use the advanced features to automatically adjust names, dates and much more in your snippets.
- Kajabi: If you are running an online business, you need a website. You need an email provider. You need sales pages, sales funnels, shopping carts, and a way to host your courses. As standalone products, all of these can cost you an absolute fortune. But with Kajabi, you pay one monthly fee and it handles everything else. Use this link to get a 30 day free trial.
- Siteground: I've tried more than my fair share of web hosting providers. But Siteground is the best I've encountered by far. They make setting up a new website incredibly easy with one-click Wordpress installs. The only time I hear from them is when my credit card has expired. And that's the way it should be with your web host.
- Convertkit: I've used Convertkit for YEARS as my email service provider. And while I recently switched to ActiveCampaign for my law firm, and Kajabi for OB Foundations, I still love Convertkit for people just getting started. Use the link provided and get a free account up to your first 1,000 subscribers.
- GeneratePress: GeneratePress is my new favorite website theme. It is easy to use, customizable, and clean. The coding is simple, which is great for SEO.
